Cooking Recipe Chinese Five Spice Powder-Martha Stewart Livi

Recipe Ingredients

2 tb Whole star anise (about 10)
1 tb Szcchuan peppercorns
1 Stick cinnamon
2 tb Fennel seeds
1/2 ts Whole cloves

Directions

1. Place all ingredients in a saute pan over medium heat and
dry-roast, shaking pan often, until they give off an aroma, about 5
minutes.

2. Transfer to a mortar or a clean coffee grinder and grind to a
powder. Store in an airtight container.
